Colin started counselling 20 years ago, initially as a volunteer in response to the outbreak of HIV / Aids in the Grampian area.

Leading on from this, he has worked extensively in the fields of Gay Mens’ Health, HIV / Aids, Hepatitis and Addictions.  In all of these areas, he has worked with the individuals as well as their families.  He has most recently worked as an Alcohol, Drugs and Sexual Health Worker at a well known local charity, counselling people from the age of 16 years old and upwards, engaging with their many diverse issues, lifestyle choices and psychological complexities.

He completed the COSCA Counselling Skills course in Dunblane in 2000 and continued to study, gaining his Post Graduate Diploma in Person Centred Counselling at Aberdeen University. Colin is an experienced trainer working with groups including secondary age school pupils, Social Work students and G.P.’s with issues including the above and also Equality and Diversity.
